課程概述

本課程內容以智慧財產權相關的法律概念為基礎，進而探討專利說明書等文件特色，以培養專利翻譯工作的核心能力。

課程目標

本課程結合翻譯碩士學程的優勢及專利知識，為實務導向的專業技能課程，以期增強學生的職場競爭力，並因應專利翻譯人才之需求。

This course combines the study of the major principles of, and scholarly approaches to, patent translation with opportunities for application and practice, thus preparing you for employment or for research in the field.

課程要求

了解智慧財產權相關的法律概念以建立翻譯專利文件的專業能力。

1.	課堂活動	20%	(1) Lateness: students who come in class more than 20 minutes late will be marked absent for the entire 3-hour-class period. (2) If you are absent in case of uncontrollable situations (e.g. illness, emergency, important occasions, etc.), please apply for a leave on the 'Student Leave Request System'. (3) Students absent three times or more without cause will receive 0 credits.
2.	翻譯作業	40%	(1) Please submit your work on time. Delayed submission will NOT be accepted on any account. (2) DO NOT email any late assignments to my email account after the deadline.
3.	報告	40%	Please show up on time for your presentation. Lateness or rearrangements for presentation will NOT be accepted.
